Hydrocodone
   

Hydrocodone - Hydrocodone also known as Dihydrocodeinone is a synthetic opiate made up of Codone and Thebaine. It is commonly used and prescribed for acute pain, and chronic cough. The drug comes in a liquid, or tablet form.

Hydrocodone Abuse – Those persons who abuse Hydrocodone are very likely to become addicted to the drug due to its narcotic traits, and physical forming dependence on the body. Users of the drug report a very sedative, and relaxed euphoric feeling. Hydrocodone abuse often times leads to Hydrocodone addiction within a short period of time.

Hydrocodone AddictionHydrocodone addiction occurs when a person can’t stop using the drug despite the negative consequences they experience as a result. Hydrocodone is very physically addicting to the body, and persons who use the drug build a tolerance and must use more to feel the effects. In addition persons may not be able to stop using the drug on their own and may need to go into a Hydrocodone Detox to have it removed from their system.

Hydrocodone Detox – Because Hydrocodone is physically addicting to the body, it forms dependence within a short period of time and users may not be able to stop on their own from fear of getting sick. Hydrocodone detoxes provide a safe place for a person to recover as well as have a medical doctor Detox them using a slow taper method so that their bodies do not get sick and go into withdrawal. Common withdrawal symptoms include shakes, sweats, headaches, and nausea.

Hydrocodone TreatmentHydrocodone treatment centers specialize in treating Hydrocodone addiction. Typically this is the 2nd phase in Hydrocodone recovery. While in treatment individuals attend primary counseling, and individual therapy, where they can relearn coping skills, and life skills, that were lost or set aside during their addiction.

Hydrocodone rehabHydrocodone Rehab centers treat those persons who have abused Hydrocodone, or become addicted to the drug. Often times a Hydrocodone rehab center is a 30-90 day program offering many different approached to treating Hydrocodone addiction such as individual and group therapy, life skills programs, as well as co occurring disorders. Those persons who complete a Hydrocodone rehab center have a higher chance of remaining abstinent from the drug than those who do not.
