Ketamine
   

Ketamine - Ketamine also known as Special K is a veterinary tranquilizer intended to be used for the sedation in animals. Ketamine comes in three types, Dog, Horse, and elephant doses and generally is in liquid form. Users of this drug cook it down to a powder form and generally inhale it or snort it. Ketamine is extremely dangerous to humans and can cause severe medical complications.

Ketamine Abuse - Those persons who use Ketamine are immediately at risk for abuse of the drug as it is not intended for human consumption. As with a tranquilizer the drug acts fast leaving persons in a subdued state of mind shutting down certain motor skills and bodily functions. Those persons who abuse Ketamine usually become addicted to the drug within a short period of time.

Ketamine Addiction - Ketamine addiction happens when a person can’t stop using the drug despite ever consequences within their life. Ketamine is very addictive due to the highly euphoric calming state of mind it produces. Ketamine is also very dangerous and using the drug can lead to sever health and medical complications. Those persons addicted to Ketamine may need to go into a Ketamine specific Detox center to be monitored and have the drug safely removed from their system.

Ketamine Detox – Ketamine due to its similarities with benzodiazepines are very habit forming and physically dependent upon the body. Those persons addicted to Ketamine may find they can’t stop on their own due to this and run a high risk of having seizures from the drug. Because Ketamine has such heavy affects on the body and mind a person may need to stay at a Ketamine rehab center from 30-90 days depending upon the severity of their addiction. While in a Ketamine rehab center persons re-learn vital cooping and life skills needed to remain abstinent from the drug. Those persons who complete a Ketamine rehab center have a much higher rate of sustaining long term recovery than those who do not.
